My 1st Doggie Mac!

I got my first Doggie Mac this week,  what a wonderful birthday present ….. it was my 1st birthday on January 10th, soooo exciting, it’s  gorgeous forest green with black trim and I’ve had lots of compliments.  They tell me it’s a perfect colour to go with my red hair (I don’t think my hair’s red, it’s more orange really).  Charlie & I make the perfect pair as he struts around in his brand new Value Range dog coat http://www.doggiemacs.com/value.html

Look at the new picture of me, you must agree I do look rather cute!  Btw, Xmas was great and I loved eating turkey and getting my Xmas present (an edible boot filled with treats), even tho I wasn’t allowed to eat it all at once.

My 1st Xmas!

I haven’t written for a while because we’ve all been so busy but I just had to tell you all that I’m so excited because we’ve got a real, pine smelling Xmas tree today and I know that I will get some lovely presents soon.  I’ve just been measured for my first Doggie Mac because I think I’ve stopped growing now so it will fit me for a very long time.  I’ll always be a small dog but I don’t mind because I’ve now got a very loud bark!  When I’ve get my new Doggie Mac (in forest green with black trim) I shall post a picture of me proudly wearing it and I’ll let you all know that my modelling career will now begin.  Hope you don’t get too stressed between now and Xmas and if you’re looking for the perfect present for your pooch, then go to our website www.doggiemacs.com

Charlie’s “in Stitches” & it’s no laughing matter

Charlie went out for the day yesterday and I was feeling quite lonely.  Anyway he came home looking very sad and I wasn’t sure why but I did notice something white was stuck to his fur so I thought it would be fun to pull it off!  I wasn’t expecting him to growl and snarl at me when I started this game but once I got the plaster off, well then I saw them ….. OMG ….. stitches.  Why would someone want to sew my Charlie’s skin?  Then there were more stitches on his left shoulder and he told me he had two lumps removed.  I felt terribly guilty about this so I shall let you all into my terrible secret.  I’ve been hiding pebbles from the back garden under the cushion of our bed we share.  Charlie’s must’ve swallowed my pebbles, that’s why he had two lumps, well I can’t think of anything else but I’ll let you all know how he is very soon.

Big Brother Leaving – More Love For Me!

Who would’ve thought that Jackie’s eldest (Adam), leaving soon to start a new life in America, would’ve made life sooo good for me!  I overheard her saying that all these extra cuddles I’m getting are because she’s sad that Adam will be living in San Francisco (but happy that he will have a great job).  Today she felt sad because she was in the supermarket and bought Mrs Elswood Sweet Whole Cucumbers (his favourite) and knew she would only be buying them for him twice a year.  So I got a lovely new pink squeaky toy …. result!  She got lots of kisses from me.   All this recent rain has meant I’ve been wearing my new Doggie Macs Waterproof Wrap (www.doggiemacs.com) Let’s hope it rains on Wimbledon and all Summer so my Mum will be happy and busy with her business.  Don’t forget your umbrella!

Digging “The Beach”

Hi All

What a wonderful place I went to called “The Beach”, there’s lots of smelly fishy things like seaweed (which Charlie likes rolling in) and shells to try and eat and very salty water which I tried to drink but I didn’t like it.  The best thing about the beach is digging.  Small humans bring buckets and spades and sometimes entire families are digging.  I’m not sure why they’re digging but they seems very serious about making these big holes.  Anyway, I don’t need a spade coz I have paws and it’s great fun to dig, the sand flies everywhere and I can make a hole very quickly but I must admit it’s very easy to get carried away with this digging (and cover humans with sand, which apparently they don’t like) but I haven’t found anything interesting yet in any of the holes!   I wish I could ask Jackie what everyone is digging for all over the beach and I know I have to be careful (as I’m still very small) and can fall into these big holes that humans have dug.  I’m making the most of this sunny hot weather as I heard it’s going to rain soon (it’s called “April showers”) and we shall all have to put our Doggie Macs on.  I’m too small for one with legs so I wear the smallest size (XXS) Doggie Macs Wrap coat, which makes me look the smartest pup in the village! Too Much To Tell!

Hello everyone

Well, there’s been so much happening here and I’ve been too busy to blog but here I am trying to remember everything.  There are so many new smells and tastes in the kitchen and I’ve learnt lots of new things.  Firstly, if I sit nicely then I get my food straight away, secondly I mustn’t run away when we go for a walk because I might get lost and that was what happened to Millie, their last dog.  She got out of the front gate and a big fast car hit her and she died (I know this cos Charlie told me) and it made them all very sad.  Thirdly, I must walk nicely on a lead and not pull.  I’ve managed all three so far but I still sometimes forget to wee and poo outside! 

Last night, it was Passover and Jackie’s family came for dinner, ooooooooooh the smell of the roast chicken drove me wild.  Then Jackie decided to bake cinnamon balls (a special recipe) but she left them in the oven for too long and they were like “bullets” (that’s what she said to someone on the phone!), she said if you’d loaded them in a gun, they would’ve killed someone so I didn’t understand why she was eating them.  Oh well, these humans are hard to fathom out.  Just before dinner, she left the oven gloves too close to the hob and they caught fire but she put them out before anyone noticed, well Emma noticed (that’s Jackie’s daughter) and I did hear her say “Mum, what are you doing?” and she thought it was funny.  Then Jackie dropped cooking oil on the kitchen floor and was sliding around coz it made her shoes slippery.  It was all rather hilarious really ….. it’s really fun living here because Jackie sings me silly songs and calls me “Ruby Boo” and I do get lots of attention, even from Charlie.

My New Friends

I’ve settled in very well and I’ve already made some new friends.  My first friend is a puppy called Daisy (Bichon Frise) and she’s smaller than me but very strong.  She kept chasing me and biting me and I was a bit scared so preferred to sit on Jackie’s lap.  Then, I met Pip, my next door neighbour who is a Jack Russell and very friendly but got a bit jealous when his owner made a big fuss of me.  Yesterday, I met my cousin Mango for the first time.  He’s the same colour as me and the same breed (of course, coz we’re cousins, well not really cousins … his owner is Jackie’s sister).  Charlie and I had a lovely time running around his garden but my “Mum” left my feeding bowl there and was cross with herself!    This afternoon I played with Bertie, another Jack Russell who is very strong (or is it that I’m just a bit weak?).    He was very happy with his new Doggie Mac Waterproof Wrap coat, available at www.doggiemacs.com and looked very handsome and I think this new handsome image gave him some naughty ideas and he tried to do all sorts of things to me which I didn’t really understand but I think it’s what grown up dogs do.  In the end his owner had to put him on a lead and he wasn’t allowed to play anymore and I barked and barked at him.  No-one knew what I was saying, coz the humans don’t know dog language but between you and me, I was saying “ha, ha, you can’t play and I can”.  Call me childish if you like but I am only 3 months old!!!

Shoelaces are Good!

Just a quick word before bedtime.  I have discovered shoelaces and they are such fun.  Whilst Jackie thought I was sleeping in the kitchen I found her big trainers by the back door, dragged one into my bed and chewed the end of the lace, you know, the hard plastic bit ….  mmmm very enjoyable but I did spit it out.  Well, I was a bit bored because Jackie was having a very important business meeting next door so I banged on the door and she let me come in.  I was trying to be very good, sitting under the table but then I spotted more shoelaces, big black ones attached to some big black shoes which the important man was wearing.  Firstly, I gently tugged and pulled the laces open and then, hey presto, I could chew the lovely plastic bit on the end and do you know what happened next?  No-one noticed until the important man moved his foot and saw what I’d done!  Jackie apologised on my behalf and the nice man said it didn’t matter, as long as I hadn’t swallowed the plastic bit on the end but of course I hadn’t, I’ve more sense than that ……. I spat it out on the floor so they found it and were very relieved!  Night, night everyone zzzzzzzzz

My New Friend Charlie

Hi Everyone

Sorry I haven’t talked to you for a while but I’ve been so busy finding out about everything, there’s so much to learn and I’m a very curious pup.  I love eating the woodchip in the front garden but Jackie doesn’t let me as I was sick a few days ago.  It is ever so tasty though and it smells good and I still try and eat it when I think she’s not looking!

Charlie has been much kinder with me lately, I went on my first walk the other day and I kept stopping to smell things …….. oh so many lovely smells in the park.  Anyway, every time I stopped, Charlie waited for me and came over to me to nudge me into following him so I did follow him and I nearly kept up with him too.  I had my first bath, well it was more like the kitchen sink than the bath and I was very wriggly, especially when all that water came over my face but I must admit, I did smell lovely afterwards from my new puppy shampoo by Groomers.  Charlie and I got new bones this week and it’s such fun trying to take his bone but he doesn’t let me.  However, he does let me sneak into his bed (from behind) and fall asleep with him.  Talking of sleep, it’s my bedtime now and time to show Jackie how clever I am when I do a wee in the garden and not on the rug in the lounge!!!  Night, night everyone ……

Exploring My New World

Hello everyone

I’m liking my new home and I’ve got so many toys to play with, I know they’re Charlie’s but he doesn’t seem to mind sharing them.  I like Charlie but he scares me a bit sometimes when he growls at me, especially when I’m trying to get close to his food bowl …. but it smells so good! Talking of food, I’m eating my puppy food, Royal Canin www.royalcanin.co.uk  it’s very delicious and I’m having 4 meals a day!  One thing I didn’t understand – why did Jackie lift me off the lovely green rug just as I was doing my wee?  I thought it was a good place to wee, a nice soft rug but she seemed to think the newspaper was better.  Oh well, I’d already finished weeing so I tore the newspaper up for fun!!!  One thing I really like to grab and chew are wires, they’re so interesting and great to play tug’O'war with.  I do get very tired though and I think it’s time for my nap now ….. Oh btw, I really am getting lots of cuddles, mmmm I’m soooo sleepy …… night, night everyone
